The Carelon Oncology Pathways Program provides information to providers on high quality, cost-effective treatment options through the publication of optimal regimens used in the practice of medical oncology. Pathway regimens are developed by a dedicated team of pharmacists and medical oncology experts under the oversight of a board-certified medical oncologist.

Optimal regimens are chosen based on the most current evidence comparing effectiveness and toxicity profiles, with cost serving as a final arbiter when no clear advantage exists between optimal regimens. The proposed regimens undergo extensive review by expert physicians across the country who are actively involved in patient care and cancer research. Regimens are reviewed and updated on a regular basis as new literature and treatment options become available.
